"I have known Martin since virtually his first EPT - when he came third in Budapest in Season 5. Since then he has come to nearly every single event and has always been one of the politest and most charming players on the tour. He is an EPT player through and through with 26 cashes on the tour. It is fantastic that he has won the WSOP - he has had so many near misses and Season 7, when he was runner-up twice for the Main Event, was heart-breaking! As so many people have said and written, this really was a very well-deserved victory. I was supporting all the Europeans who made the WSOP final last week (they have all played EPTs) but was genuinely thrilled that it was Martin who won."
